Topology graph
How the asset-and-pool node graph encodes state, liquidity and freshness.
Topology draws one asset as a lime-outlined node in the center, with its pools arranged around it as smaller nodes. That's the same information the Markets table holds for that asset's row, read as a shape instead of a row of cells — useful specifically when you want to understand one asset's structure rather than scan across many.
Node color, precisely
Each pool node is colored by its absolute deviation from reference, using three fixed bands: under 15bp is Aligned (dark navy), 15 to 40bp is Diverging (cyan), and anything wider is Stale (muted red) in the graph's color key. It's worth naming the gap directly: this is a simplified three-way encoding, distinct from the fuller five-value state glossary (Aligned, Diverged, Thin, Moving, Stale) used in the Markets table and Replay. The graph optimizes for something a text label can't — a color you can parse across five pool nodes at a glance — at the cost of collapsing "thin" and "moving" into whichever of the three bands their deviation happens to land in.
Line width and freshness
Line thickness encodes liquidity — thicker connections carry more depth, on the same three-tier High/Medium/Low scale used throughout the product. A dashed, lower-opacity line marks a pool that hasn't produced a fresh read recently, independent of its color; a node can be aligned in price and still be drawn with a stale-looking connector if its last update is old.
Modes
The tabs above the graph change what it emphasizes without changing its underlying shape. Network is the default read. Liquidity re-sizes each node by depth instead of drawing them all at a uniform radius, so the biggest venues are visually the biggest circles. Units replaces the graph entirely with the raw/multiplier/displayed breakdown described in the Unit multipliers note. Routes replaces it with a condensed view of the same paths shown in full at the bottom of the page.
The inspector
Clicking a pool node opens its full detail in the right-hand inspector — normalized price, reference, deviation, liquidity, depth within ±10bp, and how many blocks since its last update. Clicking the center node, or the node currently selected, clears the selection and returns the inspector to the asset-level reference view.
